Two to three inches of rain in 18 hours on saturated soils caused flooding in central and eastern Pennington County and southern Meade County on June 4. An additional one to two inches of rain on June 5 exacerbated the flooding. Houses, highways, and streets were damaged by the high water and several stock dams failed.
