Heavy rain and isolated flooding developed across central and south Texas during the early morning hours as deep convection expanded across the region. A very moist and unstable atmosphere with PWATs near 1.75 and MLCAPE around 2000 J/kg fueled thunderstorms capable of producing intense rainfall rates of 1-2/hour.
