An anonymously deep, slow moving low pressure system moved through the Desert Southwest throughout the day on the 4th. The strong forcing for ascent in combination with above normal moisture values resulted in widespread scattered shower activity across much south-central AZ. MUCAPE values upwards of 500 J/KG resulted in pockets of heavier rainfall rates with some training of the shower activity.
