Flash Flood — Hampshire, MA

The remnants of a Mesoscale Convective Complex over Ohio moved through southern New England, producing heavy rain that wreaked havoc over western Massachusetts. The worst flooding occurred on the University of Massachusetts - Amherst campus, where several buildings were flooded causing nearly two hundred thousand dollars worth of damage.

Western Hampshire, MA · Aug 22, 2021

Tropical Storm Henri made landfall in southwest Rhode Island around noon on August 22nd, then moved slowly northwestward and westward across northern Connecticut and weakened. Henri brought strong wind gusts and flash flooding.
