The atmosphere on September 7th remained well saturated, with PWAT values into the 1.9 to 2.2 inch range. This deep moisture combined with the passage of a frontal boundary that extended along the coast and continued to move offshore during the early morning hours produced periods of heavy rainfall across South Texas.
