A maritime warm front moved northward from the Southwest Louisiana Gulf Coast and stalled out near the Lower Toledo Bend and Sam Rayburn Country of Northeast Texas into portions of North Central Louisiana. This boundary interacted with an upper level storm system to produce severe flooding across much of the southern parishes of Northwest and North Central Louisiana.
