A weak warm front lifted north across northern Ohio early in the day on July 16, 2025, bringing a warm and unstable airmass to the region. A shortwave trough lifting northeast across the region during the day promoted scattered shower and thunderstorm activity. Repeated rounds of rainfall affected Seneca County during the day, with particularly intense rainfall during the early evening hours bringing flash flooding impacts. Heavy rainfall rates were influenced by ample moisture in the atmosphere
