A tropical disturbance which originated near Honduras on August 13th pushed through the southwest Gulf of Mexico and ultimately moved onshore just south of the Mouth of the Rio Grande, crossing southwest Cameron and southeast Hidalgo County before becoming more diffuse, on August 15th. ||Widespread showers and a few thunderstorms accompanied the disturbance (known as AL-98) across eastern Hidalgo and portions of Cameron County, where more than 2 of rain fell in less than two hours from late morn
