A slow moving cold front moved west to east across northern Ohio during the afternoon and evening hours of August 13th, 2025. A warm and moist environment, characterized by MLCAPE values between 1500-2000 j/kg and precipitable water values near 1.8 inches, and weak deep layer shear promoted slow moving thunderstorms producing efficient rainfall.
