A nearly stationary storm over Arizona provided an extended period of deep moisture with widespread showers and isolated thunderstorms. A few of the heavier showers and thunderstorms produced heavy rain. One such storm impacted the Northwest Plateau, resulting in localized flash flooding along state highway 491 south of Shiprock.
