Flash Flood — Madison, AL

Flood Cause
Heavy Rain

Scattered low-topped thunderstorms, some of which were supercells, produced two tornadoes and scattered wind damage during the afternoon and early evening hours. Isolated flash flooding was also reported. The second tornado was produced from a rogue supercell that was tied closely with an upper level disturbance tracking rapidly northeast through northern Alabama.

A warm front pushed northeast from Mississippi into northern Alabama producing widespread rainfall during the afternoon of the 9th. A squall line then produced another round of heavy rainfall, along with several small bow echoes.
