During the afternoon and evening of the 5th, as well as the morning and afternoon of the 6th, an outbreak of severe storms and a few tornadoes occurred across the ArkLaMiss region. There were a number of reports of hail, wind damage, and a few tornadoes across the region. One of the strongest storms moved east across Choctaw County Mississippi.
