Slow moving thunderstorms along a nearly stationary cold front produced locally heavy rainfall in a short duration, resulting in flash flooding across portions of the Lower Susquehanna Valley. Rainfall amounts ranged from three to six inches in less than three hours with the highest amounts over eastern Cumberland, eastern Franklin and northern York Counties.
