Strong to severe thunderstorms moved across northern Illinois from mid morning through early afternoon, producing numerous reports of hail, heavy rain, flooding and flash flooding. The City of Chicago reported almost 200 tree emergencies which includes damage to tree limbs, partial trees or entire trees.
