A line of heavy rain-producing thunderstorms dropped southward through parts of northwest Illinois during the evening hours of July 27 and early morning hours of July 28. A few of the storms produced wind gust up to 60 mph. The heavy rains associated with the storms resulted in some flash flooding in Carroll and Whiteside Counties. In addition, some non-severe hail fell near Savanna, IL around 940 pm.
