On the early morning and evening of the 16th, thunderstorms with locally heavy rains crossed the northern and southeast portions of the ArkLaMiss. This was caused by an area of low pressure that moved over the region from the Southern Plains. The rains resulted in some isolated flash flooding across portions of the forecast area.
