Across mainly northern portions of the eastern half of Middle Tennessee, flooding/flash flooding occurred throughout the day. Showers developed in association with a well developed surface and aloft low pressure center across the Southern Mississippi River Valley Region that moved slowly east as the day progressed, resulting in copious moisture being ushered across these areas.
