Shower and thunderstorm activity produced 3 to 6 inches of rainfall across poritons of northwestern Alabama. This caused widespread flash flooding across the central portion of Colbert County. The flash flooding was so significant that over six inches of water flooded a senior citizen center in the community of Cherokee.
