Widespread showers and thunderstorms, in association with an upper level low pressure system, resulted in excessive heavy rainfall across much of the region on October 13th. Widespread 2 to 4 inches were reported with isolated amounts in excess of 8 inches were reported. This rainfall led to widespread flash flooding across the region.
