Warm weather and melting snow continued to cause problems with rivers over north central Iowa through the 12th and 13th. Ice jamming occurred along the Winnebago near Mason City and the Des Moines River north of Fort Dodge. Several streets were closed in Mason City by high water and chunks of ice. Flooding was more severe in the Fort Dodge area. Two housing areas were flooded by the high water with water reportedly surrounding the houses. Farther into town, flooding along Scenic Drive occur
