The flooding that began earlier in the month continued as the warmer air moved north. Much of the secondary flooding of the month occurred over northern Iowa in places that hadn't already reached flood stage from the first wave of melting. In addition, rainfall during the middle of the month helped to push a few rivers over the central counties to at or above flood stage.
