Strong coastal low pressure produced 3 to 5 inches of rain resulting in county wide flooding of small rivers and streams across portions of southern Maine. Road washouts were numerous with moderate to major damage occurring to roadways. Homes and businesses were also flooded. Total damages across 4 counties in southern Maine amounted to almost a million and a half dollars.
