Scattered severe thunderstorms developed across eastern Ohio and the northern panhandle of West Virginia during the afternoon along a warm front moving north ahead of low pressure. As the surface low pushed east a cold front brought additional showers and thunderstorms that produced flash flooding in eastern Ohio in the evening.
