A nearly staitonary front was across southeast Ohio and northern West Virginia. During the afternoon and early evening, repetitive showers and thunderstorms moved west to east in West Virginia. A spotter reported 2.5 inches of rain in Sissonville of northern Kanawha County. On Black Mountain in Pocahontas County, 2.3 inches fell in less than 3 hours. Amounts of around 2 inches likely fell just southwest of Oak Hill in Fayette County.
