Flash Flood — Becker, MN

During the late afternoon of July 3rd, high temperatures across west central Minnesota peaked in the upper 80s with dew points in the low 70s. With nightfall, thunderstorms broke out and moved into west central Minnesota. Several rounds of slow moving thunderstorms with very heavy rain hit the Detroit Lakes to Park Rapids corridor particularly hard. The highest rain total actually occurred at Osage, where 5.65 inches of rain was reported. A station four miles northwest of Park Rapids measured 4.

Flood$100K damage

East Becker, MN · Jun 9, 2002

Heavy rainfall on the 8th and 9th over northwest Becker county led to flooding problems. A second round of heavy rain on the 22nd and 23rd brought additional flooding to northern Becker county. Many roads, bridges, and fields across this area were damaged.
