Deep monsoon moisture produced thunderstorms with heavy rain over much of New Mexico. A couple of storms dumped heavy rain over the Magdalena Observatory and the Langmuir Laboratory for Atmospheric Research, resulting in the dirt road leading to the facilities being washed out. Meanwhile outflow boundaries over Quay County produced strong wind gusts and wind damage around Logan and Nara Visa.
