An upper low combined with an unstable airmass and and gulf moisture to bring widespread thunderstorms to the region during the afternoon and evening of June 15th. Many of the storms reached severe limits and brought hail, damaging thunderstorm wind gusts, and isolated flash flooding over portions of central and south Mississippi.
