A cold front moved into Arkansas from the north on the 5th, triggering scattered to numerous showers and thunderstorms. Some of the storms became severe and produced locally heavy rain. The remnants of the front continued to touch off storms from the 6th through the 8th, although the storms were less numerous on these days.
