An impulse of upper level energy provided enhanced lift along and near and old frontal boundary from the Brush Country northward to the Texas Hill Country, generating clusters of very slow moving storms in Webb, Duval, and Jim Hogg County during the late afternoon and evening hours of May 14th. The southern edge of stronger storms, which dropped more than 6 inches of rain in Duval County and produced significant flash flooding there, impacted Highway 285 out to Hebbronville, causing high water
