A stationary frontal boundary draped across Central Kansas helped lead to the development of showers and thunderstorms across the region late in the afternoon of June 12th, 2010. Abundant moisture along this frontal boundary led to the development of supercell thunderstorms with a few weak tornadoes, which mainly touched down in open fields.
