Thunderstorms developed along a cold front and swept across northeast Iowa for the second consecutive night. These storms brought additional heavy rains producing more flooding problems on July 23rd into the 24th. The winds were also strong enough with the storms to create some wind damage. Clayton, Fayette and Howard Counties were included in a Presidential Disaster Declaration.
