An area of showers and thunderstorms developed across south central Kentucky and moved into the north central portions of Middle Tennessee during the early morning hours on Monday, July 19th. This resulted in some thunderstorms reaching severe thresholds, resulting in thunderstorm wind, flash flooding, and lightning damage across locations near and on the Northern Cumberland Plateau.
