Abundant moisture left over from the remnants of Tropical Storm Alex streamed north and interacted with strong upper level dynamics to produce widespread heavy rainfall across Kansas over a three day period. This rainfall event started over the Fourth of July holiday weekend, washing out alot of the festivities associated with the holiday. This heavy rainfall event continued until July 7th, 2010.
