A large complex of thunderstorms developed in the wake of previous convection during the evening of July 19th. Locally heavy rainfall of between 3 and 5 inches occurred along and southwest of a Canton...to Decatur...to Robinson line. Several reports of flooded roads were received...particularly in west central Illinois. One isolated hail report was received from Schuyler County as well.

A cold front advancing eastward across the Midwest triggered scattered thunderstorms during the late afternoon and evening of July 28th. A few of the storms became strong to severe, with isolated wind damage being reported in Peoria and Schuyler counties.

Schuyler, IL · May 8, 1996

Slow moving thunderstorms dumped up to 8 inches of rain over a 10 hour period. Numerous roads throughout the county were underwater and some sustained damage. Also, flooding was reported in several towns including Rushville, mainly some basement and street flooding.
