Flash Flood — Franklin, TN

A long-lived mesoscale convective system that contained heavy rain and thunderstorms enveloped the region during the late evening and overnight hours. 24 hour rainfall amounts from this system reached 3 to over 5 inches. Runoff and flash flooding from the heavy rainfall began during the late evening on the 29th and lasted through the morning hours of the 30th.
