Low pressure aloft, approaching from the west, caused a line of thunderstorms to develop during the afternoon. The line moved very quickly, exiting the area during the early evening. The fast movement of the line, occasional bowing sections within the line, and winds aloft were favorable for severe thunderstorms producing wind damage. Isolated tornadoes developed near the line.
