For the second time within a week heavy rain fell across New Jersey, especially the northern half. An additional 2 to 5 inches of precipitation fell and caused continued flooding in the Passaic Basin and renewed flooding on the Delaware and Raritan Rivers. Snowmelt in the upper reaches of the Delaware Basin contributed to the flooding. Major flooding occurred within the Passaic Basin, mostly minor flooding occurred on the Delaware River and in the Raritan Basin. Governor Chris Christie declared
