Flood Cause
Heavy Rain

Heavy rainfall in April and May kept some rivers across the state above flood stage from late April through part of June. The White River at Augusta remained above flood stage from the last week of April through early July. Some locations along the White River reached record levels.

Although Isaac was a hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico, it had weakened to a tropical depression by the time it reached Arkansas. Isaac passed through western Arkansas on the evening of the 30th and during the day on the 31st.
