Thunderstorms that formed and continued to reform along a warm frontal boundary produced torrential downpours in the Lehigh Valley shortly after Midnight EDT on the 5th. This caused flooding of roadways and small streams in central parts of Lehigh County and southern parts of Northampton County. Doppler Radar storm total estimates reached 4 to 5 inches from South Whitehall Township (Lehigh County) east through Allentown, Bethlehem and Lower Saucon Township (Northampton County).
