A nearly stationary thunderstorm dropped about three inches of rain over Little Valley in Cattaraugus county in a little over an hour���s time. Many streets were closed ��� some with over two feet of water over them ��� virtually shutting down the village. Basements were flooded and local fire companies reported pumping out over 100 basements.
