Numerous showers and thunderstorms developed across western and central New Mexico during the afternoon hours of the 13th. Though most individual storms were short-lived, a few storms dumped very heavy rains in vulnerable areas. Radar estimates over 2 inches of rain fell over portions of Gallup as well as the Track Fire burn scar.
