In a hot and humid air mass, long lived strong to severe thunderstorms traveled southeast through southeast Ohio during the afternoon. A second cluster of strong thunderstorms reformed over northeast Indiana and northern Ohio by evening. The environment recovered quickly, allowing the second complex to reach southeast Ohio during the late evening. Both complexes contained frequent lightning.
