Numerous strong to severe thunderstorms affected portions of central and east-central Kansas during the evening hours of the 1st, in response to a warm front drifting north amidst a very unstable airmass. A few brief tornadoes touched down over open country in Lincoln, Russell and Saline counties, producing no damage.
