Jun 21, 2011
During the afternoon of the 21st, a thunderstorm complex headed south through eastern Kentucky. Convection along the eastern edge of this system helped to prompt additional development farther east. This process repeated itself through the evening hours leading to multiple thunderstorms moving through the region, with many of the storms producing damaging wind or large hail. Flash flooding also occurred with some of the slower moving storms.
