Thunderstorms developed along and north of a nearly stationary warm front over southeast Minnesota during the afternoon of July 28th. These storms were very slow moving and were excellent rain producers dumping between 4 and 5 inches of rain on some locations. The highest reported rainfall total was 5 inches in Brownsdale (Mower County).
