A strong cold front pushing through Southern New England, coupled with tropical moisture streaming into the area, produced showers and thunderstorms. These storms, in turn, produced torrential rainfall with rainfall rates of at least two inches per hour. This resulted in a few isolated areas of flash flooding in southern Bristol County.
