Severe thunderstorms developed over parts of Adams, Denver and Elbert Counties. Two tornadoes touched down briefly in Elbert County. In addition, the storms produced hail from quarter to golfball size, and wind gusts to near 70 mph. The wind downed a tree in Adams County. In Weld County, heavy rain and flash flooding caused widespread field flooding. Several county roads were washed out near Pawnee National Grassland.
