Flash Flood — Marshall, AL

A cold front interacted with the remnants of Tropical Storm Lee to produce a sustained period of rainfall, beginning in some places during the evening of the 4th and not ending until midday or during the afternoon of the 6th. Rainfall totals of 3 to 6 inches were common area wide. The heaviest rains occurred in a swath from Cullman through Marshall, DeKalb and Jackson Counties where some places received 8 to 12 inches of rainfall.
