Rains of 1 to 2 inches fell over the southern coal fields during the early morning hours on the 26th, ahead of a warm front. These rains exited by midday, as the warm front lifted northeast. One to 2 inches of rain were common. More convection formed ahead of a cold front after 1400E. Individual cells pulsed briefly to severe limits with large hail.
