A moist and unstable environment existed ahead of a slow moving cold front. A weak surface wave developed along the front during predawn hours of Tuesday, the 8th. Widespread showers fell over wet terrain. Rain rates were not extreme, but in the .5 to .75 inch range per hour. Road were flooded by small streams. Dwellings were not affected.
